RESUMEN
SIMPOSIO
Issues in Childhood and
Adolescence Psychopathology: findings from
innovative approaches and practices in
Diagnosis and Intervention
In this symposium will be
presented and discussed papers focusing on
critical topics in childhood and adolescence
psychopathology, such as
emotional/behavioral disorders, eating
disorders, ADHD and developmental
dysfunctions. Emotional and behavioral or
eating disorders in children and adolescents
signify a failure to develop the proper
internal mechanisms to “regulate” and
process negative feelings and emotions, or
develop proper coping mechanisms and
behavioral patterns, as well as positive
self- and other schemata. Specifically,
there will be presented and discussed
findings from various clinical and research
projects associated with a series of
innovative interventions (art-based,
integrative, child-family treatment, etc.),
as well as findings regarding diagnostic
issues in a more insightful and
psychodynamic way. A European Community
funded program (Erasmus+
2018-1-SE01-KA201-039032) on promoting the
psychosocial skills of children with
behavioral/hyperactive and developmental
disorders referring to a school
professionals' training program in art-based
techniques will be also presented and
discussed.
