RESUMEN DE LA CONFERENCIA Treatment of Substance Abuse Addictive disorders are a group of disorders that can cause physical and psychological damage to an individual and his/her family. Receiving treatment is essential for breaking the cycle of addiction. Treatment programs for substance abuse are different for each individual and should be customized based on their unique needs and situations. Sample of alcohol and drug abuse treatment modalities, or more than one perspective on treatment effectiveness have been utilized in many different research studies and research has proven that effective multi-dimensional intervention treatment programs have significant impact on the treatment of substance abuse cases. This session will focus on providing an example of a multi-dimensional treatment program and the different psychological approaches involved. |
