KEYNOTE ABSTRACT
Difficult people. How to communicate with
them?
Problems of efficiency of communication are
closely connected with personal characteristics
of both parties entering into communication, and
a problem of formation of constructive contact
and consideration of participants motivation.
Interpsychic conflicts are derivatives of
intrapsychic. And they can be diagnosed and
addressed by means of the formation of the
system of self-regulation skills, and effective
communication. Cognitive behavioral therapy
provides a wide arsenal of technologies of
diagnosis and therapy for the correction of
problems in communication. Cognitive
distortions, dysfunctional thoughts and beliefs,
metacognition and non-verbal behavior can be
subjected to functional analysis and become
therapeutic targets for further revision and
readaptation. Changing belief systems with one
hand and filling in deficits in social,
communicative and self-regulation competencies
on the other hand can help in building
meaningful and productive relationships and
communication with difficult people and clients.
